Meet this year’s MSCN Film Music Festivals Academy mentees!

The 2024 MSCN Film Music Festivals Academy mentees are Yağmur Üçkardeş (Turkey), Susann Offenmüller (Switzerland), Haruka Nitta (Japan), and Clément Barral (Switzerland).

Each of these talented emerging composers are working with MSCN to develop their creativity, empower their careers, and engage in film music festivals and platforms in 2024, and we wish them all the best!

Of this group, Yağmur Üçkardeş and Haruka Nitta have been selected to travel to the Music & Cinema Marseille Festival in early April 2024. They will be working with their programmes there, performing their newly composed film music works on the festival stage, and taking part in the festival’s matchmaking activities. Clément Barrel and Susann Offenmüller are also working on their own career objectives with MSCN, with Susann recently taking part in the IMMSANE Berlin 2024 Congress at the Berlinale, and Clément preparing participant at the 3rd Character Matchmaking events at MCM Marseille.

As part of the mentorship activities, each participant presents their general film music demos, which can be listened to here:
